David Ness, of Torrington, has joined Saint Francis Medical Group in Hartford as Director of Operations.

In his new role, Ness will be responsible managing all clinical office practice sites and for overall operational success in meeting quality, productivity and financial goals. He has significant practice management experience running an 11-member physician orthopedic and neurosurgical practice.

"David is a seasoned professional with experience in multiple healthcare environments," said Mark R. Aresco, Executive Director of Saint Francis Medical Group. "We are pleased to welcome him to the team."

Ness has also previously worked as a hospital lab manager at Sharon Hospital and as manager of Allscripts electronic medical record system for Alliance Medical Group.

Ness earned his M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut and his B.S. in Medical Technology also from UConn. He is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, the Connecticut Medical Group Management Association and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
